About Ecovate
EcoVate is a project launched in 2008 aiming to help small businesses across London to reduce their environmental impacts. It does this by encouraging and enabling them to adopt innovative greener practices through providing sustainability expertise as well as practical advice on costs savings, compliance and competitive advantage.
About the EcoVate Mentors' role 'Mentors' are required to support the project by providing support to help small businesses implement sustainability action plans. Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
Experience engaging, encouraging and enabling SMEs to 'go green'
Knowledge of sustainable development business support
Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Able to use initiative and work independently (support will be provided to Mentors, but they will normally be working alone with the SME)
Working Hours A flexible approach will be required to adapt to the needs of the business and is likely to involve work during weekends and evenings.
Payment £12 per hour of support provided. Mentors are employed as contractors and actual hours are to be determined according to project needs.
