Afsheen joined LSx in August 2006. She came to England to undertake a Masters in Environmental Studies from the University of Essex. Afsheen then worked for two years in Local Authorities to facilitate and promote recycling services in Coventry and Luton. Prior to coming to England she assisted a research project on ‘A systematic study of landslides in the Darjiling-Sikkim Himalayas and their effective control’ in India
