Chris retired from Cadbury Schweppes in March 2007 and is now enjoying a portfolio career. In 2003, he was appointed Director of Business Risk Management, a global role overseeing all aspects of risk management, including Audit, Insurance and Security. In addition, he chaired the Group’s Environmental, Health and Safety Steering Group and was a member of the Human Rights and Ethical Trading Working Group.
Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 and joined Cadbury Schweppes in 1987. He was Head of Audit for Cadbury Schweppes before taking on the role of Finance Director in Russia in 1997, experiencing the challenge of the 1998 financial crisis there before moving to Ireland to take over the Finance Director role in 2000.
He is currently a Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee for the Cadbury Schweppes Pension Fund, a Non-executive Director and Chair of a number of Captive Insurance Companies. He is also an Associate Director and a member of the Advisory Board with CriticalEYE, Europe's Centre for Business Leaders, a member-based community for senior executives focused on executive and leadership development.
