Kirsty joined LSx in February 2008. Prior to becoming the Energise London Project Officer, Kirsty worked as a Behaviour Change Programme Assistant at LSx. Kirsty has experience as an Environment Officer within Local Government and as a Support Officer with the Environmental Protection Agency. She holds a BEnvMan(Hons) in Sustainable Development from the University of Queensland.
Kirsty's responsibilities as project officer on Energise London is to improve energy and water efficiency as well as increase the amount of renewable energy utilised in Greater London. This involves direct engagement with communities of interest in 'Pilot Study' Boroughs. It is anticipated that wisdom gained through the pilot studies will help London Boroughs work smarter not harder on climate change initiatives. Kirsty employs a variety of mechanisms to enable this knowledge exchange. For instance she works with partner organisations to develop multi-media tools, workshops, networking events and business breakfasts, which are offered to learning network members as part of the programme.
Kirsty's strengths lie in community development and behaviour change. She sits on the London Environment Coordinators Forum Sustainable Schools subgroup and the Voluntary Services Forum Steering Group. Kirsty is a member of the London Borough Climate Change Group and coordinates the Energise London Learner Network.
