Apart from being an LSx associate, Effiong is currently working with Greenwich University as well as Natural Resources Institute (NRI) in Kent on research exploring the opportunities and barriers of Green initiatives to the UK food and drinks sector. The research uses a social science perspective to assess perception and adoption of these initiatives by food and drinks operators.
Prior to this, Effiong had been involved in developing products as well as systems specifications for a few UK leading food businesses and has worked on a few London specific projects supporting food businesses and offering intervention/behaviour change. He has also worked and consulted on community sustainable initiatives engaging the community and incorporating sustainable concepts and value systems into the way food and farming should be approached.
