During 2008, she delivered a project to help L & Q Housing Group residents to live more sustainable lifestyles, through workshops, materials and a team of resident champions.
She ran a social marketing project in 2006-7 to shift attitudes on climate change amongst London’s South Asian communities which included the recruitment, training and support of a team of peer-to-peer Ambassadors and commissioned a programme of performing arts work which used magic to help communicate climate change at cultural events such as Diwali on the Square and the London Mela.
She also helped enable small food and drink businesses to adopt more sustainable practices through the Greener Food project which ran for three years from 2006 to 2008. This included recruitment and training of champions and mentors, business engagement strategy and devising and delivering events.
Previously she has worked on policy and communications for the London Assembly at the Greater London Authority, for a human rights QC, a Labour MP in the House of Commons and as a tutor for the Workers Education Authority.
She holds a degree in History and Politics and a Masters in Political Philosophy and is a member of the CIPR.
