Greener Food Welcome

Welcome
Hello and welcome to the January/February edition of our Greener Food bulletin. This year Greener Food is focusing on 'greening' London's Food and Drink industry. We are launching our new online Greener Food Menu guide designed to help London businesses boost profits and reputation by going green.
Make a sustainable start to 2008 by reducing your food miles: In January and February seasonal and local foods include leeks, Savoy cabbage, turnips, guinea fowl, mussels, oysters and rhubarb.

Switch it off and save!

Restaurants and catering businesses recently took part in a free training day to help identify practical ways to save energy and water as well as visit  a 'sustainable venue', the Roots and Shoots Eco BuildingSEA/Renue and Greener Food ran a free 'Energy Surgery' - which offered a step-by-step breakdown of energy usage and demonstrated how and where it can be reduced. The energy saved was then translated into financial gain! See the calendar below for more events that could benefit your business.
