Sharing experience, sharing knowledge, sharing skills:
A few words from LSTS Network members

Knowledge Transfer Partnership: A Win-Win Situation
Tony Day, Business Fellow LSTS Project, London South Bank University

If you want to apply your degree, start a 'real' job straight away and gain a professional qualification, then a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) might be what you're looking for. The three-way partnership encourages innovative businesses to take advantage of the latest technical advances and know-how of graduates and universities. Largely government funded, nearly two-thirds of a business' project costs are offered to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) harness the skills and expertise of enthusiastic graduates.

Everybody benefits from KTP:

· Graduates gain training and experience in the business world and on project management.
· Businesses benefit by being able to develop new products and services, introduce new technology or streamline manufacturing processes;
· Universities benefit by staying relevant to the employment base.

Students, if you're serious about getting ahead click here.
Companies can read more about how to take advantage of KTPs here.

Supporting Network Members: A Case Study
After attending the LSTS 'Skills, Networking and Internships' event, organised for Network members in Janaury, Pauline Saurei, an LSTS Network member and Urban Planning student at UCL, talks about the help and support she has received while researching her dissertation.
