Transform, a key initiative in LOCOG’s Changing Places programme, is offering a total of £250,000 to a maximum of 10 projects. The deadline for funding applications is 31st January.
Projects should involve local volunteers in their planning, delivery and future maintenance. Applicants must have permission from land owners to carry out work and demonstrate cash match funding of at least 11% of the requested funding.
The funding will be awarded by the SITA Trust. Transform is delivered by Groundwork London in partnership with London Sustainability Exchange.
Transform started off with a £200,000 grant from Defra and funding from the City Bridge Trust. A total of £167,000 has so far been awarded to 17 projects in Greenwich, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
