Lindy Kelly is the Executive Director of Groundwork London, which seeks to enable the transformation of lives and places of communities in need in London. She leads a dedicated team providing expertise and services to: regenerating communities; improving urban landscapes and open spaces; providing a range of opportunities in the areas of youth, employment and skills training and work placement; and championing environmental services.
Lindy joined Groundwork as a volunteer over twenty five years ago, when she arrived in the UK from her native Australia on an environmental study tour. She was so impressed with Groundwork’s practical approach to supporting communities that she never left. She has progressed from physical delivery, through programme management, to Executive Director for Groundwork in Manchester before making the move to London, where she has been the driving force behind organisational change allowing pan-London delivery of Groundwork’s vision.
Lindy also serves on the LSx Board and London Waterways Commission. In her spare time, she is a passionate sports fan, cook and gardener.
