Mark is Director of Food at FareShare, a unique charity fighting hunger and its underlying causes by redistributing surplus food to more than 3 000 local charities and community groups across the UK. By ensuring good food is not wasted, FareShare turns an environmental problem into a solution, helping to feed over 200 000 vulnerable people every day. At FareShare he leads the team responsible for FareShare’s partnerships with companies in the UK food industry.
Mark was previously Director of Sustainable Business at leading behaviour change agency Corporate Culture, and during 7 years of incredible growth he was Head of Commercial Relations (Food and Beverage) at The Fairtrade Foundation, leading Fairtrade’s engagement with manufacturers, brand owners and retailers in the UK food and beverage sector.
Mark started his career at Procter and Gamble where he held a variety of commercial roles in a broad range of product categories, working with clients in the corporate and public sectors.
Mark is a Chartered Waste Manager and recently completed an MSc in Sustainable Development at The University of Surrey.
