A team of community ambassadors were selected as part of the climate change campaign from South Asian communities to educate and inspire community members to understand the challenge of climate change and the differences they could make. The ambassadors delivered talks, discussion events, exhibition stalls, and children’s activities with the aim of increasing the understanding of almost 7000 South Asian Londoners. All ambassadors were full time professionals who were highly enthusiastic and passionate about communicating climate change.
All the ambassadors had great links to South Asian networks in designated boroughs. The community ambassadors worked closely with South Asian community members from young groups to elderly people in order to spread the word on climate change.
