Materials for South Asian Ambassadors

Below is a list of resources currently available for to take to events as 'give aways'. Please e-mail me (j.mulholland@lsx.org.uk) to request these materials. Please remember to specify the event/s and the number you need.

1. Energy saving light bulbs
Replacing a standard 100W traditional light bulb with a 20W low energy light bulb can save around £11 per year worth of electricity.

2. Powerdown units
This is a ‘power down computer devices’ which is a simple plug and play panel for use with PC’s. You simply plug your desktop PC into the master socket & any other computer peripherals into the remaining sockets.  When the desktop PC is turned off the unit senses a drop in current and turns off the rest of the sockets.

3. Lsx pencils
Recycled pencils made from various materisl such as vending cups and CDs.

4. LSx Switch me off / Shut me down stickers
For people to stick to aplliances to encourage them not to leave them on / on stand-by. Round sticker approx 3.5cm across.

5. Save-a-flushes
Flushing the loo takes up one third of the water we use every day. Fitting a Save-a-flush device in your cistern saves around one litre of water every time you flush. Not suitable for houses or flats built after 2000.
