London is a leading world city on so many fronts. But behind the economic and cultural buzz of London lie some of the starkest inequalities in health and deprivation to be found anywhere in the UK.
Current policy is not improving health in our most disadvantaged communities.
The Well London Programme works in 20 of the most disadvantaged communities in London. In partnership with local groups, it leads projects to help Londoners to
Well London is an alliance of six organisations, including LSx, which have been brought together by the London Health Commission. The programme has been awarded a grant of £9.46m of BIG Lottery Funding under the Well-being Fund to run from 2007 until September 2011.
LSx is coordinating the Well London programme in Heath (LB Barking and Dagenham), Upper Edmonton (LB Enfield) and Hind Grove (LB Tower Hamlets).
